The Cheero Tearooms and store was run by Gwen (Neville) Butt (pictured 3rd from the left). She prepared both light refreshments and hot meals in the cafe. Throughout the war years the store was a popular place for members of the army who were camped nearby and airmen from the training school at Somers. The wings insignia over the doorways is that of the Harley Club. The people are waiting for ice-cream to arrive.
